Controller and purpose of processing

Daniel Ganan is the controller of the personal data used to manage communications received through this website.

If you contact us, your name, email address, organisation and any information you choose to include are used to read, respond to and manage your enquiry.

The contact form prepares a message in your email application; you decide whether to send it. Preparing the message does not send it. Correspondence is stored in the IONOS email service described on this page.

Enquiry information is not sold, published or used for advertising.

Where applicable, processing is based on steps requested before entering into a potential contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) or on the legitimate interest in responding to professional correspondence (Article 6(1)(f)). The legitimate interest in the reliable and secure operation of the website forms the basis for processing necessary for hosting.

Where processing requires consent, it will be requested beforehand. Merely visiting the website will not be treated as consent for purposes that require it.

The website uses IONOS Hosting Expert and the email services of IONOS Cloud S.L.U. The contract holder is Daniel Ganan. The data processing agreement with IONOS was concluded on 16 September 2026.

Hosting involves processing technical connection information to display and protect the website. According to IONOS’s general Hosting documentation, the requested resource, date and time of access, browser, operating system, device type, referring page and anonymised IP address are recorded. IONOS states a retention period of eight weeks for this visitor data.

This information comes from the provider’s Hosting documentation.

IONOS processes information as the hosting and email provider. Information may also need to be disclosed to comply with a legal obligation.

Enquiries are retained only for as long as necessary to manage correspondence and meet applicable legal obligations.

When data is no longer needed, it will be deleted unless it must be retained to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. These criteria apply to correspondence and are separate from technical hosting retention periods.

We normally respond within one month. If an extension is permitted because of the complexity or number of requests, we will explain this within that month. Where necessary, we may request proportionate information to verify identity.

Subject to the applicable conditions, you can also request access, rectification, restriction of processing or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for processing that relies on it, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information: datenschutz-berlin.de.

If you believe any material on this website contains personal information about you or infringes your rights, please write to us and identify the relevant page or image. We will investigate and take appropriate action.

Cookies are small files that a website can store on your device. Other technologies, such as browser local storage, also allow information to be retained. This section explains the storage used for language selection and the planned introduction of analytics.

Storage and language preference

The website uses browser local storage to remember your language preference under the key dg-language-preference. It is used to select the language, not for advertising.

Local storage differs from a cookie and does not have an automatic expiry by itself. You can delete it through your browser’s site-data settings.

Google Analytics has not yet been installed, as explained in the following section.

Technologies that store information on or access your device and require consent will only be used after that consent has been obtained. Exceptions for strictly necessary functions will be applied in accordance with German law.

When you dismiss the legal information notice, the key dg-legal-notice-dismissed is saved in browser session storage so the notice is not repeated during that tab session. This record only remembers that you dismissed the notice; it does not constitute analytics consent or contractual acceptance. It is removed when the tab session ends.

Google Analytics is planned for future installation solely for statistical analysis of our own website. Installation and activation are still pending.

Before measurement is activated, this notice will be updated to reflect the actual configuration and an appropriate consent mechanism will be implemented, with options to reject and withdraw consent.

The interactive panorama is served from this website. A QR code in the portfolio links to an external Enscape viewer at api2.enscape3d.com. Displaying the QR code image does not itself open that service. Accessing its destination connects you to the external provider.

Links to LinkedIn, XING and other organisations also lead to external pages. Their own terms and privacy information apply when you visit them.
